The strain relief

Potschochter could not believe his luck. His hubby indeed let him use his hubby’s soldering station.

Potschochter’ mouse did some strip-tease near this strain relief. Potschochter refused to throw his beloved mouse away. No he asked his hubby for the allowance for repairing this.

It was a special honour to Potschochter that his hubby really let him use this soldering device.

Potschochter took some pics to keep a memory of this special occasion.

First of all Potschochter unscrewed the housing of his mouse. So all the inner parts laid naked before Potschochter’s eyes. This was so thrilling to Potschochter. Now he was able to see what kind of components such a mouse was made of.

What a fantasic occasion.

Potschochter was shown some kind of shrinking tubes that he was allowed to use for mending the striptease of the mouse ;-)

Potschochter was allowed to sit on his hubby’s chair and using his hubby’s desk for soldering tasks. Potschochter has been so proud and grateful, that he- this tiny little messy an clumsy Potschochter - actually did some soldering.

Very proud of his accomplished work, Potschochter went back to reunite the melded cable with its housing.

Potschochter’s hubby dropped by to examine the task Potschochter proudly thought to have accomplished in a proper way.

Well, shit happens. Potschochter misplaced the whole shrinking tube in a manner where there was no place left for this strain relif that was meant to find a place just at the brim of the housing.

So dear old Potschochter shrinked himself into a small ant while his hubby obviously grew some kind of annoyed, because he tried to rescue Potschochter’s misfitting shrinking tube. But one thing got Potschochter right. At least. He did not produce a short cut during soldering. At least this was something Potschochter was kind of proud of because as you can see those tiny soldering dots where really very, very tiny.

So Potschochter got the opportunity to retry and then he really did it in a correct way. So Potschochter will remember the reason of this thick thing that sits just between the outer and the inner side of a housing around a cable. He actually will remember this forever.

Potschochter even did some drawing just to rember where all this tiny little wires sat before he removed them from the platine.

Potschochter is so happy now, because his little mouse is fixed and has a funny red clothing now. And anyone who wants to know whether the mouse really works after Potschochter’s intervention, is invited to look at his tiny little video.
